    Tech, Politics, Crypto, Sports, Humor and more. A pill per topic in the side panel: tap one to fold it on Home, tap again to bring it back.

    Repeats, collapsed

    The same viral post arrives six times a day through quotes and reposts. After the second sighting, every further copy folds to “Repeated ×n”. The original never folds.

    Translate when you need to

    Pick the language you read in. Posts in other languages get a Translate link, or translate on their own as they appear.

    What stays yours

    Local first
    Labels, hidden posts and your reading persona live in a SQLite database inside your browser profile. Nothing syncs to an account.
    Nothing acts for you
    No automatic likes, posts, follows or reposts. The one button that touches X, “Not interested”, works only when you press it.
    What the labeling service sees
    After you confirm your account in the guide: the post text, the author handle and, for image-only posts, the thumbnails. Never your password, your cookies or your session.
    Anonymous statistics
    Install, setup progress and a daily count of folded posts, under a random id. One switch in the side panel turns it off. The full note.

    Install

    StopSlop is not in the Chrome Web Store yet. It installs as an unpacked extension, which takes a minute.

    1. Download the zip and unzip it into a folder you will keep. Chrome loads the extension from that folder.
    2. Open chrome://extensions and turn on Developer mode (top right).
    3. Click Load unpacked and pick the unzipped folder. StopSlop appears in the list.
    4. The guide opens by itself. Open the side panel, try the local example, choose the topics to fold.
    5. Open x.com, signed in as usual. Click Find my X account in the guide and confirm it. Labels start on the next scroll.

    Updating: unzip the new version over the same folder and press the reload icon on the StopSlop card in chrome://extensions. If you also run X Gardener, enable only one of the two; they act on the same page.
